Printer was working a few months ago but has been off during summer break. Now during power up, the print head moves several inches out from the right edge, and then back again, and an error is immediately displayed on the screen EC06-2F9C (4801).

Hi MHi,
Try turning the printer off and unplugging the power cord for 10 minutes. While the power cord is unplugged, if paper is loaded, remove the paper from inside the printer. If EC06-2F9C is still displayed, the printer will require service. If you would like help with your service options, contact our Large Format Printer telephone support at 1-800-423-2366 (press option 1 then option 3 for Large Format Printers), Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST, excluding holidays. I hope this is helpful.
