iR-ADV C5250 no longer scans to SMB after NTLMv2 only is enforced

In an active directory enviroment, when NTLMv2 is enforced, this MFP fails to scan with an error #801 in the logs.

The AD account gets locked out in the process if repeated scan attempts are made.

There are no SMB client settings related to NTLM in the settings, unlike some of the newer copiers.

Is there perhaps an update to software/firmware that can help?
