iR-ADV C3926- Scan to Email - The PDF File is Attached to an Attached Email Message

Similar to the post Scan to email - Canon Community, when scanned documents are sent to an e-mail address from our new Canon iR-ADV C3926, the employee receives an e-mail message with an e-mail attached.  Within the attached e-mail message is an attached PDF file.  Thus, the employee needs to double-click the e-mail attachment, then double-click the PDF attachment.  Is there a way to have the PDF file directly attached to the top-level e-mail message?  Recipients are using Microsoft Exchange Online.

We have determined the cause of this issue.  In Exchange Online there was a mail flow rule configured that tagged external messages with a disclaimer, "This email originated from outside the organization . . ."  Included in the rule definition was the clause "If the disclaimer can't be applied, attach the message to a new disclaimer message."  We adjusted the rule and resolved the issue.

Thanks for posting!

While our Forum Community members are welcome to chime in, Canon does not provide direct support for imageRUNNER series products, but your dealer will be able to help you!

If you don't have a dealer, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers who are in your area!
