Image Prograf pro 4600 - print issues when I printed large 42" x 132"

Hello all,

I'm trying to print a rather larger banner image that is 42" x 132". I set it up to print on Photoshop - the paper size 44" x 136" - the print seemed to doing fine, I left it and came back to seeing that the image only printed half way - the rest was just a solid color that kept going and going. I had to manually stop it.

I looked up that the longest length is 18m - so I'm not sure why this happened. I can't waste anymore expensive paper - not sure what to do here.

Does anyone know why this happened (see pics)

Hello sknobel.

I think your problem is not with the printer, but with the software you are using to print (Photoshop)

Without a doubt you have a good computer, because you don't do it on any computer

But when you search the internet for professional print ripping software, you'll see that their prices are even valued by the length of print they can handle

I hope this can help you.

I never print from a photo editing software, since that is not their strength. I use a dedicated print manager Qimage One. They have both Mac and Windows versions with a free trial. Give that a trial run and see if that helps. There are others out there too that you can research.
