Kagrell

In our office we have an old Canon C2030 Image Runner that is no longer functioning. How can we dispose of it?

Thank you for your help!

Hi, Kagrell!

Thanks for posting! While our forum community members are welcome to chime in, Canon does not provide direct support for imageRUNNER series products. Instead, your dealer will be able to help you! If you don't have a dealer and you're in the United States, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers in your area.

If you're outside the USA, visit http://global.canon and choose your country or region from the map for local support.

We hope this helps!

Hi, Danny,

We purchased the printer from a third party seller of refurbished Canon products, so we do not know where to turn. The Canon dealer would not help us. There must be someone who has dealt with this issue. Might you be able to come up with any idea as to whom we can turn to?

Hello,

It looks like there hasn't been a response to Kagrell's inquiry in over two years? In any case, I have the same issue. ..trying to responsibly dispose of our small business Canon ImageRunner 1022 that we can no longer get parts for.

We have been Canon customers for most of the 32 years we've been in business but after COVID, downsized considerably and were no longer needed a large printer. We currently use a Canon ImageRunner LBP5280 and just replaced the 1022 with a new (smaller) Canon printer/copier/scanner from Staples. They are unable to take back the ImageRunner.

It has been too large for community electronics recycling events, even if we paid for the service. I spoke (via phone) to a representive at your Canon Solutions technical support team who told me to "put it out at the curb" or "drop it off at a dump." I don't think that's what we want to do.

After the conversation with the support team, I decided to check the Canon website for an email/contact form, with no success. Hoping for some advice on what to do with this retired office member! 😉
