Help with ULM on iR-ADV 3930i: LDAP authentication with RFID cards not working

Hi everyone,

we’re trying to set up Universal Login Manager (ULM) on a Canon iR-ADV 3930i to support LDAP authentication with RFID cards. The goal is to use username/password plus RFID card for the initial registration, so that each card is linked once to the user account.

Our LDAP integration itself is working fine: when we set the login method in ULM to username/password, users can authenticate at the device without any issues, and Active Directory connectivity is confirmed.

However, when we switch to RFID card as the login method, the device just shows:

Connection status: Not connected. Waiting for server.

Firewall and network issues seem ruled out, since the LDAP connection works perfectly for username/password login.

We’ve also given each user in the relevant Active Directory OU write permissions on their own attribute, so that card enrollment should be possible. But it still doesn’t work.

Has anyone here set up ULM with LDAP + RFID successfully on this model? Any ideas what we might be missing?
