Constantly having to re-load Printer Drivers onto Macbooks for C5860i and C270i copier/printers.

Our school has 2 Canon copier/Printers (C5860i and C270i). All our teachers use Macbooks.

Apx every month or two, our teachers cannot print from the Macs.  We have to UN-install the printers, RE-load the printer drivers, then RE-Install the printers onto the Macs in order for them to print again.

Does anyone else have this problem ?  Any suggestions ?   IS there a problem with Macbooks and Canon software ?

Thanks for joining the conversation, SalArn1!

While our forum community members are welcome to chime in, Canon does not provide direct support for products in the imageRUNNER and imagePRESS series. Instead, your dealer will be able to help you! If you don't have a dealer and you're in the United States, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers in your area.

If you're outside the USA, visit http://global.canon and choose your country or region from the map for local support.

We hope this helps!

Greetings ,

Based on the limited information, if I had to guess this sounds like a network problem.

Do these printers have static IP addresses assigned on your network? Have your IT Department look into this.
