Canon Image Runner Advanced DX c5870 Copies or Prints slow

VirtualBBF

Good day,

We have a new Canon Image Runner Advanced DX c5870i and after a couple weeks we noticed large print jobs would print great for about 100 or 200 prints then it would slow down to 1/2 speed, we could pause the job and resume after a couple minutes and it would speed up for 10-20 prints then resume printing slow, the job was just a single side B&W text statement. We tried different drivers and nothing seemed to help, no it has effected copies also, no mat6ter what we copy if we do 100 or more it slows down, I have a short video of the copy job, sorry for the quick blur, I tried to adjust the image while recording. It slows at the 20 sec mark right after the blur.

Our Rep cannot make it until the 1st week in July and I have a huge 25000 statement job to do Friday, Help!! lol.

Regards,

Chuck

While our forum community members are welcome to chime in, Canon does not provide direct support for imageRUNNER series products. Instead, your dealer will be able to help you! If you don't have a dealer and you're in the United States, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers in your area.

If you're outside the USA, visit http://global.canon and choose your country or region from the map for local support.

We hope this helps!

@Danny,

Thank you for the reply, I was hoping for a community member to have any suggestions since I only have a couple days to try and figure this out before our end of month statements print and we do have our Canon rep coming about end of next week or follow week for a check up and possible assistance, we have the device on trial to replace 2 HP Enterprise M806's that have over 7 million prints each w/o a flaw besides the basic maintenance kits and toner replacements. I just hate taking it out and hooking up the HP's.

Regards,

Chuck
