If you are running Windows 10 or 11, you can install unverified drivers by booting the computer  with "Driver Signature Enforcement" disabled (temporarily).  This is a protective function to prevent installing rogue drivers that can do damage to the system. If the driver is from a reliable source (like Canon) you don't have to be afraid of it.

Do a web search for "disable driver signature enforcement windows 10 and 11" and you see many articles telling how to do it. Just don't do it permanently. You want it re-enabled after installing the driver and rebooting the computer.

Are you SURE the driver(s) you want to install are downloaded from Canon, and not from a third-party?
