set the pc to start scanning error

I have  a MG7720 that is connected wirelessly to my laptop that runs on Window 10. It will not scan and I get a "set the pc to start scanning " error everytime I try to scan when hitting the start scan on the printer. It will not recognize my printer on the find computer ,it only has Local(usb). It is recognizing the printer as "Cannon IJ Network Scanner Selector EX". I have never had this problem in the 2yrs that I have been using it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this same issue and I downloaded everything as when I did my first setup but then I noticed that my computer was connected to the other wifi name. For some odd reason our router has two different wifi names and they both function, example1 and exmaple1(1). Once I switched the wifi on my computer I then went to the printer and pressed: scan, save to PC, and there it was, my laptop name! Fixed my issue 🙂
