printer to phone wireless connection

I have a Selphy CP1200 printer.  I am trying to connect it to my I Phone.  The two do not seem to recognize each other.  Im wondering if there is another driver I can download to connect to my phone.

I have the Canon Print app on my phone, but it cannot find the printer.   It says it does not support that printer.

Hi,

There is no printer driver for an Android or iOS device. Do you have the printer and phone connected to your wifi network or are you trying to connect your phone directly to the printer without wifi?
