mp68-win-mg2900-1_01-ejs.exe won't install for MG2920 printer

I have a Pixma MG2920 printer, and a new Windows 11 laptop.

The laptop can find and connect to the printer on both wifi and via usb cable. But it cannot find a driver. I have downloaded mp68-win-mg2900-1_01-ejs.exe and run it but it does not install.

I have uninstalled the printer, switched it and laptop off and on again. I've tried windows update, and every other suggestion I could find on the internet. I've downloaded the drivers from different regions.

I've added the printer manually and via the My Printer software. I've tried to use print server properties to add the drivers manually after using WinRAR to decompress the executable file...

Nothing works. Please help!

Having similar problem with MG2950. Canon software doesn't recognize the printer, connecting it to wifi using Android Canon Print app doesn't work too. I managed to install driver only from Windows update and it prints, but everything else doesn't.

Disable all antivirus and anti malware software on your pc and try installing again.

Tried that, still doesn't work. Both old & new software version doesn't see the USB printer, nor when I connect PC to the printer's wifi.

On this page you will find the XPS windows driver for the MG2900 series printer for Windows 11 and also a full driver package for Windows 10 (choose load more).  Many times Win 10 drivers work better than Win 11 drivers for the same device.

Nobody asked whether the new computer has an ARM/Snapdragon processor, rather than an Intel/AMD. 

If It's an ARM, check the available drivers to see if there's on that specifically say it's for ARM. There are two versions of Windows 11....one for Intel/AMD-processor computers and one for ARM computers. They are not interchangeable. Driver for Intels will not work on ARMs.
