imageCLASS MF753Cdw Errors 753 and 806 when scanning over network

Good day - first time poster. I have a MF753cdw that is hooked into hardline ethernet. Prints without issues. I can fax out, not too sure about incoming faxes yet.

However, one thing is scanning. Right now I can only scan to USB, which defeats the purpose of having the document show up on my computer or scanning by email. I believe you can scan over a network to your computer/over email hooked in to your local network.

I am seeing the following errors:

753 and 806 (753 first). I've tried looking online, youtube, etc but I cannot figure this out. Can someone please help? Thanks.

Hello,

The Codes that you are referring to point to problems with setting up the scan to email function on the MF753. To scan to a Mac or Windows computer, you can download and install the scanner driver and MF scan utility from our website using the link HERE. Once the scanner driver and MF scan utility are installed, you would be able to scan to your computer. For a more immediate resolution or to have someone walk you through the scanner setup, I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to assist.

Thank you for the reply which almost took one year to hear anything, even though someone edited my original post for some strange reason.

Ok, scan direct via a driver and USB (which does work). But what about scanning to email? When a printer is hooked to a network, it shouldn't need to be hooked to a computer via USB. This is what I am trying to do since there are other computers on the network that would like the ability to scan from the printer. The solution you suggest would mean that I need to use the USB on *each* computer which doesn't really help the issue.

Hello.

You have to let the printer know where to send the scanned images.
You can find instructions on configuring the email settings in the printer HERE.

Thanks for the link but that's for a MF652Cw, and I have a MF753Cdw.
