I am unable to get my printer to print anything over airprint. Backstory, I bought this printer for my non-techsavvy parents so they could airprint. This has truly been a nightmare for me and I am at my wits end at this point. I believe I have tried most troubleshooting steps. The printer shows up on both iphone and mac, however when I actually try to print something my devices seemingly disconnect from the printer connection. I have tried updating the firmware, updating IOS, and I have even tried new WiFi. I have tried using the canon app and my device isn't even found by the app. Nothing has worked. My parents do not have a computer, and I'd sooner get a new printer for them than buy a computer for them just to print. Airprint is their only option. Please help me.

LOL of course after I finally post to the forum I figure it out within minutes. All I had to do was factory reset, or I believe in the settings it was called initialize settings. Horrible solution though, I couldnt find any other way.

I’m having the same problem! But I factory reset and still can’t print over AirPrint. It makes a noise and seems like it’s going to print, it receives the job, and then the screen resets and blanks out. Following that, the printer restarts. 

I can copy, I can print via WiFi on my laptop, and I can scan, but I can’t print with my iPhone. 

any advice?

To ensure your issue receives the visibility it deserves, please start your own topic to request assistance.  Your thread should include the model of your Canon product.  The operating system version and build you are using it with, how it is connected and to what?

Thank you! I actually got it figured out after a frustrating round of multiple attempts. Hopefully nothing else comes up.

i appreciate the heads up on how to start a thread for any future issues I may have.
