Trouble finding imageCLASS D530 printer drivers

CJE2001

I have a Canon imageClass D530 printer that has recently stopped talking to my computer.  I hoped that installing the most up-to-date drivers might fix the problem but I can't seem to find the drivers on Canon's website.  Searching the website quickly gets me to a site about my printer, https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageclass-d530#idReference%3Dsoftware-drivers, with a nice, big button that says "Software and Drivers", but the only software I can find there are a couple of cell phone apps.

I also tried talking the chatbot that came up when I searched the FAQs, but it said it had no information about drivers for my printer.

The website about my printer that I linked to above claims that my printer is compatible with Windows 11, so I would think there would be a driver available somewhere.

Does anyone know another strategy for finding Canon drivers?

Hello,

Unfortunately, the D530 has reached the end of support. We no longer make drivers for this model, and it is not compatible with current versions of the Mac and Windows operating system.

You should be able to get it to work if you remove any existing d530 drivers, which you should have the option to under system/bluetooth & devices/Printers & scanners if your device shows up in the list. Then unplug the printer from your PC (I turned my off and removed the USB). Then, install the driver here https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageclass-d530 then there is a screen that says to finish installation plug in the printer by USB, which I did, and it worked.

Drivers for both Windows 11 and Mac OS Tahoe v26.x are available on the support portal for the D530 as of this post.
