Greetings,.

If memory serves the TS3522 can support connection to simultaneous interfaces at the same time.  I don't typically recommend using it because it can confuse things.  A weak wireless connection could cause intermittent printing problems.

An improperly configured network can cause issues also.

USB and Shared Printer configuration.  This is not one of favorite methods since it requires the primary computer to always be powered on and awake in order for other devices to use the printer.  It creates additional management overhead for you.

As long as you are ok with this, all you need to do is run the installation utility.  Select USB as the connection method and important do not connect the printer to a USB port until prompted by the installer to do so.

Installers for the printer can be found here:

Hi Motohead! Thanks for contributing to the Canon community.

You can set up a USB connection between the printer and a Windows or Mac computer. The printer does not come with a USB cable. However, you can use a cable that you used with your previous printer. If you do not have a USB Printer cable, you can purchase one from stores or sites that sell printers and computers.

Before you connect the cable, I recommend that you turn off the printer's Wireless function (if you are not planning on using it with another device). When looking at the little screen on the printer, you should see a Wi-Fi symbol and bars to the left of the number 0. If the screen is blank, you can press the OK button to wake it up. The printer also has a button with a Wi-Fi symbol and a phone symbol (right below the Power button).

To turn off the printer's Wireless function, please press the button with the Wi-Fi and Phone symbol repeatedly until the symbols to the left of the 0 are gone. If you press it once, and you see a phone symbol to the left of the 0, press the button again until you see no symbols to the left of the 0. When there are no symbols to the left of the 0, the Wireless function is turned off.

If your computer has rectangular-shaped USB ports, you will need a USB 2.0 cable that has Type A and Type B connectors. The Type A connector is rectangular-shaped, so it will fit in the port that is on your computer. The Type B connector is square-shaped and fits in the square-shaped USB port on the back of the printer.

If your computer has oval-shaped USB ports, you will need a USB 2.0 cable that has Type C and Type B connectors. The Type C end of the cable will be oval-shaped for the computer. The Type B end will be square-shaped for the printer.

Please do not get a USB 3.0 cable, as it will not work with the printer. Also, please make sure that the cable is no longer than 6 feet (maximum length). Cables that are longer than 6 feet can cause communication issues and are not recommended. We do not recommend using adapters or external USB-hubs, so please be sure to get a cable that fits in the USB port on your computer. If your computer is a desktop, please connect the cable to the port on the back of the computer (not the front).

If the printer has already been set up wirelessly with your computer, you will need to delete the current copy of the printer from your computer's list of printers before you connect the USB cable. How you get to the computer's printer's list depends on the version of Windows your computer is using.

If your computer is running Windows 11, you can delete the printer from the list by doing the following:

  1. Click on the Windows symbol in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Click on the Settings option (symbol looks like a mechanical gear).
  3. Click on Bluetooth and Devices in the left column of the Settings window.
  4. Select Printers and Scanners from the right column of the Settings window.
  5. Click on the Canon TS3500 series in the list of printers.
  6. Click on the Remove button in the top right of the printer's information window.

If your computer is running Windows 10 or earlier, please follow these instructions to delete the printer:

  1. Right-click on the Windows symbol (normally in the bottom left corner of the screen) and select the RUN option from the small menu that appears.
  2. When the Run window opens, type the words: Control Printers
  3. Click on the OK button.
  4. Wait for the Devices and Printers window to appear.
  5. Right-click on the Canon TS3500 series in the list of printers and select the "Remove Device" option from the menu that pops up.

Once the printer is deleted, you can connect the USB cable between the printer and your computer. As soon as it is connected, a new copy of the printer will be added to the list. That copy of the printer will work with the USB connection.

If a new copy of the printer is not automatically added to the list after you connect the cable, please make sure that the cable is properly connected at both ends. Also, please make sure that you are using a 6-foot cable with the proper connectors. We do not recommend using an adapter or external USB hub. If you have a desktop computer, please connect the cable to a USB port on the back of the computer.

If there is nothing wrong with the USB cable connection, please download the Print Driver and Scan Utility Installer Ver. 1.03 from the following website:
https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-ts3522-wireless-all-in-one-printer

When the page opens, please click on the Software & Drivers symbol to the right of the picture of the printer. Then, make sure that the correct Operating System and Version are listed below the Downloads section. After that, scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on the LOAD MORE button. Then, look for and click on the Download button to the right of the Print Driver and Scan Utility Installer Ver. 1.03.

After the file finishes downloading, please open it and let it run. After that, please follow the instructions to install the printer on your computer. If asked to select between a USB and Wireless connection, please choose the USB option.

Once the printer is added or installed, you should be able to use it with a USB connection. I hope this helps. Thanks again.
