PIXMA TS3322 Chromebook Connection problems

Sharon52
Apprentice

I have been printing from my Chromebook for years.  Now when I try to print,  I am getting a message Cannot connect to printer.  I don't know if the printer is connected to WIFI, so I don't know if  the  problem is that the WIFI is not connected to the wifi network or is the problem with connecting the printer to the Chromebook.  I don't know why this is now beginning to be a problem.

I would like to connect to the WIFI router by using the password for the router. I can'f  figure out where the problem is. The Chromebook, the printer, or the WIFI

If you can log any other device off and back on to the router, the issue is most likely not the router.

This may help:

To connect your PIXMA TS3322 printer to a Chromebook, ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, then add the printer through the Chromebook's settings. If needed, you can also connect via USB or install the appropriate printer driver from the Chrome Web Store.

Compatibility Check

  • Ensure your PIXMA TS3322 printer is compatible with Chrome OS.
  • Check the printer's manual or the Chromebook support page for compatibility details.

Connection Methods

Method Steps
USB Connection 1. Connect the printer to the Chromebook using a USB cable. 2. Ensure the printer is powered on.
Wi-Fi Connection 1. Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. 2. On your Chromebook, click the status area (bottom right) and select the same Wi-Fi network.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Same Network: Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and frequency (2.4 GHz).
  • Install Drivers: If the printer is compatible but not working, install the necessary printer driver from the Chrome Web Store.
  • Check for Updates: Ensure both the Chromebook and printer have the latest software updates.

Advanced Connection

  • Manual IP Address Setup: If automatic detection fails, find the printer's IPv4 address. Access the Chromebook settings and add the printer using this IP address.

Following these steps should help you successfully connect your PIXMA TS3322 printer to your Chromebook.
