Printer had multiple entries and accidentally deleted all of them. Now cannot reinstall because Canon says it doesn't need drivers to work, but IOS cannot find drivers. Printer is connected locally via USB and cannot be connected wirelessly or LAN due to workplace restrictions.

The problem has resolved. I removed all instances of the printer & fax, turned off the printer, rebooted, turned the printer on and the Mac finally recognized it. Thank you.
