Scaning Copies to iPad

We have an MX452 3/1 Printer .. Can we using an iPad Scan Copies through the Printer onto the iPad then email them to someone ??

You can take a picture of the document using iPad camera or download a specific scanning app from the App Store.

I don't know of any way to have printer send a scan to an iPad.
