I have a Lenovo laptop running windows 7, 64 bit operating system. The laptop is on my local LAN and I am successfully printing to it (wireless). The Canon MP Navigator software is giving me an error message from ScanGear Code:5,145,55, cannot communicate with scanner. I am able to scan (wireless), when I click on the printer icon, but this software doesn't seem to be able to see my wireless printer/scanner. It was working on my old laptop (same model, same operating system).

What Canon product do you own; what is the model name/number?

The software may be looking for a USB scanner. Go to the settings of MP Navigator, under the General tab, and confirm that the product name has "(wireless)" at the end. (And while you're there, be sure that the right printer model is listed!)

This error message has come up suddenly. I can print but I can not scan. I have a USB connection.
Any advice would be appreciated.
