cp printer-related file in use - Can't do Anything!
I am trying to hook up my older Selphy CP1300 to a computer. I finally got the software and it didn't load properly. It keeps giving me the "cp printer-related file in use" error and telling me to stop that and possibly reboot the computer and try again. None of that works. I did see that something appears to have loaded, as there is a Canon Selphy CP1300 in the add/remove files in the Control Panel. So, I tried to uninstall it, but I get the same message again!
I have also gone into the services area and restarted the print spooler. Still nothing works. So, anyone have any idea on how to get this resolved? I do not want to be paying $20 per incided for Canon direct assistance. That seems like quite the rip off.

Hi trspann1,
Please follow these steps:
1. On your computer, please press the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter I, then let both go.
2. Click on "Bluetooth & devices" on the left side.
3. On the right side, click on "Printers & scanners".
In the list that appears, do you see any SELPHY printers? If so, please click on it and in the new window, click "Remove" at the top.
Repeat until all SELPHYs have been removed.
4. In the Printers list, please scroll down and click on Print server properties.
5. Click on the Drivers tab.
6. Does the SELPHY appear in the list? If so, click on it to highlight it and then click the Remove button at the bottom.
7. In the window that appears, click on "Remove driver and driver package" and click OK.
8. Click Yes to the "Are you sure?" message.
9. "The following driver(s) will be deleted...." will appear. Click the Delete button.
10. "Driver was removed. Failure to remove package. Access is denied" appears. Press OK. If anything other than that message appears, please open Services and stop the Spool service. Wait 10 seconds and then restart that service. Close services and click the delete button agan. It should now be removed.
After that, please close all of the open windows and attempt to install again.
