Reinstalled Canon MX870 to Surface tablet wireless; can print can't scan

Had to reinstall my Canon MX 870 multifunction scanner, printer fax.  Using the face tablet with wirelss conection.  Can still print but lost scanning functi8onality.  When I try to scan get following mesage "No scanners were detected.
