Ports are Important for a stable network connection

If you use Windows, the software will often connect you to a WSD port which is pretty unreliable. If you want a more stable network connection I suggest using the printer's IP address to create a TCP/IP port and connecting it to that.

If it reasonably straighforward.

There are other connection protocols used with Canon printers.I've been doing this a long time and still don't know what the WSD thing is.  I find two printers being installed,,,,WSD and IP. I delete the WSD printer.

IP is not always a choice to make but if it is there, it's what I always use.

Hello,
Great tip—WSD ports can be flaky. Setting up a TCP/IP port using the printer’s IP address is a more reliable and straightforward way to ensure stable connectivity, especially in networked environments.
