Pixma mg3520 - Setup Wirelessly With Android Phone

npoling10279

I am having trouble setting up my mg3520. Trying to set up wirelessly through my Android phone. I downloaded the canon print app and followed all instructions. The printer is not detected. Instructions say to go to the set up site. When I do that through the app, it doesn't give me the choice to select the mg3500. There isn't even a 3500 series choice at all. If I go to the set up site (independent of the app) the 3520 is an option. I don't know what else to do. I am not able to set up this printer through a pc or laptop so I need this to work with my phone.

Hello.

To connect the unit to your Wi-Fi router using your Android or iOS device, please download our "Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY" app.

Once you have opened the app, select the printer icon at the top of the app and perform the registration process of the printer. If you experience any errors, please contact our support group using the Contact Us link below.

Not working anymore with Android 14 update.  Any solution for this.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MG3520 is an older model which we have retired since this forum thread was started in 2015. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for this printer, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!
