Ok, so I'm the most recent in a long line of people who felt scammed after purchasing this product. When I got home, I was wuick to realize that I wasn't given the ink cartridge the box named. Canon was quick to ship out a new pair, so they solved that problem immediately, however I inserted the ink cartridge to deal with a whole new mess of problems. The MG2922's main selling point was its ability to print from the cloud, as well as its direct connection to a router so that I could print on-the-go. The box had all of this plastered all over it, and I was excited to try it out. And I don't think I ever can. The app that the QR code on the box directed me to NEVER EXISTED, the QR simply leads to a placeholder page for a Pixma app that doesn't exist. Online, everyone told me that now you use Canon's new Selphy app, so I downloaded it. My phone connected, and I'm able to print directly from my phone, if in the same room, but features like Cloud and Wi-Fi printing are sealed off with a Canon acct. A Canon account can't be MADE with a MG2922, because the MG2922 doesn't come with a registration key (no, it's not that I didn't find it. The page where you sign up lists the printers that come with registration codes, and the MG2922 simply isn't on the list). Same result is had trying to use the printer hooked up to the computer; documents can be scanned or printed directly, but cloud features are sealed off by the same front. This means that I can pretty much only use the printer in the same room, meaning the extra money paid for all these wireless features was wasted, on top of me waiting for 4 days to get the ink that was supposed to come with my printer in the first place. Canon customer support acted like I hadn't said anything about these problems, and only kept addressing the ink. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in another product my entire life. If Canon doesn't fix support for my printer, they're getting a BBB complaint, and I swear to do my hardest to class-action this mess. Put out new printers, unsupported, and when they don't sell, make a new model? Not anymore.

Yes, this printer is Cloud Print compatible, and it does have a direct connection mode (where the printer acts as its own network)- however you cannot use both simultaneously. Cloud Printing requires an internet connection.
The PIXMA Printing Solutions app was very recently updated to be named Canon PRINT Inkjet/Selphy, which it sounds like you already have.
Now, once you connect the printer to your home wifi using the app, you can print out a LAN details page and get it registered with Google Cloud Print using the ipv4 address (directions in the link below).

Or, if you're trying to register for the IJ Cloud Printing center (so you can access the "Cloud" option from within the app), here are the instructions to do so.

Hope this helps clear up any confusion.

On the printer itself, press the blue wifi button until the orange alarm light flashes 2 times, then release immediately. The Blue light will start flashing.
In the Canon PRINT app, iIn the upper left, there is a little printer with a (+). Tap that. Select Printer Registration, then Printer Setup.
If you have an Android, select Auto Connect. It will prompt you to choose your network name and enter in the password.
If you have an iOS device, select "Connect via Wireless Router", then go to your SETTINGS app for the device itself, select 'Wifi' then connect to the network named Canon_IJ_Setup. Once it's connected, go back to the Canon PRINT app, and press OK. It will prompt you to choose your network name and enter in the password.
Once you've entered in the password, it will say "sent the settings"-press OK. The power light and wifi light should start blinking together, then go solid if it was successful. If the password you entered was wrong or the router is super far away the orange alarm light will come on and you will need to restart the setup process.

Password still advised as incorrect. NOTHING will allow me to connect this printer to my iPhone. Scan code that came with printer does not show my printer model, Canon PIXMA MG2922, once app was downloaded. This blows.

Cheesymac4me,
If you are receiving a message that the password is incorrect, please check the settings for your Wi-Fi router to ensure that you are using the correct passphrase or encryption key for the router.

I got this to work - once! It still won't print unless I magically get it uploaded into the Canon Print Inkjet by Selphy which I haven't been able to do. Evidently I got something in there a month ago but I sure don't know how I did it! I just want to print from my iPad Air2 to my Canon Pixma MG2922. The printer is registered. Now what?
