Pixma 4200 not connecting

I had to turn off my printer to extract a sheet of paper which I did no problem. When I switched back on again nothing on my network would connect. I have turned the network off and on turned computers off and on, gone through all the setting which seem ok. I have selected printer sharing. What else can I do?

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using.  We have multiple printers with numbers in the 4200 range.  Is it the PIXMA iP4200, the PIXMA G4200, or another model? That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

The printer model is MG4200

Is the MG series wired or wireless capable?  If so...

After connecting to your network, can you ping it??  My printer's IP is 192.168.1.99

C:\Users\admin>ping 192.168.1.99

Pinging 192.168.1.99 with 32 bytes of data:

Ping statistics for 192.168.1.99:

If you can't ping it, then it is not connected or correctly configured.  You won't be able to print.
