PIXMA iP8700 Series: Canon ICC profiles missing

Hello.  I just purchased this printer and installed it to my MacBook.  I am trying to print from photoshop but my canon profiles aren't listed.  I have and updated driver but the icc profile is MIA.  Any clue to on how I can add this so I can have other paper options when printing?  Thanks.

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA iP8700 series.  The model number should appear on the front of the printer at the upper left. A typical reason for not having ICC profiles for a Canon printer is that the printer is using the Apple AirPrint driver.

When you installed the printer did you wait for the Canon IJ Series driver to appear? The first one that appears is usually the AirPrint driver and folks select that.

I guess im not understanding.  in the my canon utilities I don't even see a driver.  it's just the newtork app, a survey app and the canon software.

You need to go to Printers & Scanners and see what that says. When you select your printer what driver does it say?

You have the AirPrint version. Select add printer and wait (could be several minutes) for the Canon IJ Series driver to appear. I am assuming you downloaded and installed the Canon driver from the website.
