When I try to scan a document to my computer, I get the error message "Set the PC to start scanning" This has never happened before, and I was scanning documents last week with no problem.

Hi,
As a test, can you open the IJ Scan Utility software that installed with the printer driver and try to scan. This will help narrow down if this is a scanner driver issue.
