PIXMA TR8620a not recognizing Wi-Fi Network

Aeb1

PIXMA TR8620a Windows 11

The printer was working fine, then suddenly today it will no longer recognize my home wifi network. It will recognize other networks, just not my home one. Have tried turning printer/mod off on etc, tried manually inputting network, nothing works. Modem doesn’t have WPS button. Home WiFi network itself is fine - every other device in the house can connect to the wifi.

This all started after home wifi wasn’t working this morning, but after rebooting modem it was fine, and every other device could reconnect except the Canon printer. Now it won’t even recognize the wifi exists.

I have the same issue, but iMac. It worked fine until updating to Sequoia. I’ve downloaded new drivers from Canon. It doesn’t recognize the WiFi network despite manually adding the correct password. The only thing that works is to unplug the printer, reboot the router and then turn the printer on, then, it magically works until it turns itself off. When turned back on it won’t connect to the network. Nothing changed except the operating system. It’s a dual band router set on auto channels.

Hi mulldoc,

Please perform the following steps to try and resolve this issue:

1. Please tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner of your PIXMA TR8620a's display.

2. Next, select Wi-Fi.

3. Select the Advanced button at the bottom.

4. Select TCP/IP settings.

5. Select IPv6 and then Yes.

6. Select Enable/disable IPv6.

7. Select Disable.

Once set, please turn your printer off.

After your TR8620a is powered off, please go to your router.

Unplug the power cord from the back of your router.

Wait 5 minutes and then reconnect the power cord to your router.

When your Wi-Fi network is back online, please turn your TR8620a back on and attempt to print.
