Hi all, just got a new Mac mini currently using MacOS Sequoia 15.2. My printer firmware is up to date.
(Presumably) because I set up the computer using a TimeMachine backup, the TR7800 appeared as a printer when I initially setup the new Mac. But the printer wasn't connecting so I removed it as a printer from the Mac and started the connection process from scratch. The printer is successfully connected to my network (I can see the wifi symbol with no "x"). I used the process that has me pressing the icon of the two linked links on the printer display. But this is what happens . . .
Printer and Mac are on the same wifi. When I set up the printer, it asked if I wanted to choose one IP address (I think that was the question?) or multiple. I'm not very savvy here so I didn't know which one to choose so I selected the "multiple" option. Thanks for any help!
[updated 1/20] Just now, I tried to connect my iPhone to the printer. iPhone 14 using iOS 18.2.1 (the latest as of today). I deleted the Canon Print app, used the QR code from this page: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/WebGS/WGS2/wgs_connect.html?lng=en&type=setup&area=us&mdl=TR782...
and followed the instructions. The app told me that connecting failed but it did work and I can print from my iPhone.
[further update] I tried again today (next day) on the Mac thinking maybe it was just gremlins. Same issue. One new observation: while the software on the Mac was showing it was Connecting Printer to the Network (animated image of the computer and printer with a dotted line between them), this displayed on the printer display. Sorry for the blurry image. It says "Easy wireless connect has been completed"

Hi cgulls,
Please try resolving this issue by disabling IPv6 on your PIXMA TR7820. To do this, please follow these steps:
1. Turn your PIXMA TR7820 on.
2. Tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner of your printer's display.
3. Tap Wi-Fi.
4. Tap the Advanced button at the bottom.
5. Tap TCP/IP settings.
6. Tap IPv6.
7. Tap Yes.
8. Tap Enable/disable IPv6.
9. Tap Disable.
10. "Processing..." will appear. Once the menu reappears, press the Home button.
11. Turn your PIXMA TR7820 off.
12. Please go to your router and unplug the power cord from the back of your router.
13. Wait 2 or 3 minutes and reconnect the power cord to your router.
14. Once your Wi-Fi is back online, please turn your TR7820 on.
Attempt to print.

Thanks for joining the conversation, cgulls!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA TR7800 series. The model number should appear on the front of the printer at the lower right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue if it's still going on.
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!

TR7820. Updates: last weekend, after working with Canon support (chat) who told me it must be my wifi router, I talked to Google support (chat). This probably wouldn't be considered a proper troubleshooting process because eventually it worked but I don't know which step accomplished that. BUT, just a couple days later the issue is occurring again. My printer shows it's on the wifi (the same as my iPhone and Mac), but the iPhone once again says "no AirPrinter found" and the Mac, even though it shows the printer as available, won't let me print because the Canon Print app shows the printer as "offline".
