Hi Lynn13,
The latest drivers and software for the printer can be downloaded from the Canon USA website. The following link will take you to the Drivers and Software page for your PIXMA MX860:
PIXMA MX860 Drivers and Software Page
Once on the initial download page for your model, please do the following:
1. Verify that your operating system type is selected correctly in the OPERATING SYSTEM field. If it is not, please select your operating system from the drop-down field.
2. Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED FOR YOU" section and click on the CUPS driver file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click on the checkbox next to the Download button to confirm that you agree to the terms of the disclaimer, then click the Downoad button to begin the download. The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
Once you have downloaded and installed the CUPS drivers, please follow the steps above to also download the rest of the items Recommended for You and Drivers section. You will also want to follow the same steps to download the associated software for the printer from the SOFTWARE section of the webpage. Once all items are downloaded, please double-click on them to run them.
If you plan on using the printer wirelessly, please ensure that you install the Canon IJ Network Tool lastly after all other items have been installed.
Hope this helps!

When I click on the software link above it says that the page can't be found. Was the Canon MX860 discontinued?

As mentioned in other posts, your printer was retired in 2019.
