PIXMA MX492 driver needed

HI there, I need a driver for the PIXMA MX492 printer, and I dont' care that you retired service.  I really don't.  I would like a driver tomorrow when you see this message.  I'm not throwing out a perfectly good printer- I know you wouldn't either.  Thanks for your service, Canon.  I expect help tomorrow in my inbox.

 Canon does not monitor these community forums, however the drivers for your printer are available on the support page for your printer here, as they have always been. Choose software and drivers, make sure your operating system is chosen in the right panel, scroll down to see all the programs and the correct driver. I would post the driver for you but not knowing your Operating system could not put the driver in this post. 

The printer was retired some time ago and no New firmware updates will be made, but a firmware update is rarely necessary to keep the printer operating.

Greetings! How about us in Asia? Can you please help me get a driver too? I downloaded a couple of driver but it won't work on my Win11 64bit laptop. My sister send her MX492 from Canada saying it is not working and she doesn't have the patience to fix it. I hope you can help me? This is still a good printer. It can still photocopy, but I have a student who is needing to print her projects soon. So I hope you can help me too?

Same driver for Canada and Asia easier to find if you save to desktop. This driver came from the same support page as I posted as the solution:

Thank you DerrickL for the reply and link, it is the same link I was using to install the printer few days ago. But as per your advice I saved it to desktop and do the installation, unfortunately with the same error, "Printer not detected" even though it is and being On.

Do you have any other solution you can share with me? I already changed USB cord 3 times, transferred to 2 other ports thinking they're defective but same error. I also tried installing it on a laptop with Canada time, date, location/region setup, but same error with Philippines setup. I'm a bit frustrated but open to any solution if there are any.

 You may want to consider uninstalling any other drivers before you try this one. I know it looks like the same link but it downloads a different driver. Using a usb/printer cable is the best connection to use when a printer is stubborn about installing, disconnect yours and add it when the software directs you to.
