PIXMA MX472 Not Discoverable Using Bluetooth

RHickman

I'm attempting to pair a Win 8 computer with Bluetooth adapter to my new PIXMA MX472 using "Cableless Setup".  When I reach the point where I'm supposed to "Follow the instructions on PC screen...", the wireless light on the printer flashes continually as the message scrolls, the setup software loads the driver, but apparently never connects.  If I try to find the printer using the Windows "Add a printer" feature, the computer does not detect the printer while the light is flashing either.  I'm assuming the flashing light above the wireless icon indicates the printer is in discoverable mode.  The computer is able to detect my Windows phone when I put it in discoverable mode.  Any thoughts?

Mx472 doesn't have Bluetooth. The blue light is WiFi indicator.

Thanks. 🙂  I figured that out after posting. *head desk*  I bought this printer specifically because it seemed that it could connect via wireless without having access to the router.  Ended up connecting via USB.  Guess I need to read even more closely.
