PIXMA MX452 How to install drivers without CD drive

So I'm trying to connect my cannon all in one printer to my new laptop. However, my printer originally came with a CD to download to my laptop.  My current laptop doesn't have CD rom, and I don't know to connect with new laptop I have Cannon Pixma MX452, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue, new laptop with no DVD/CD slot, and can't connect to my Pixma MX452 printer that I've had for years. My computer "sees" the printer, but it said that drivers weren't available. I came to the Canon website and was able to download and run the executables to load the drivers, but printing attempts result in a response that the drivers aren't available and it says my printer is off line even though it isn't.  I have a 5 year old desktop computer that easily connected wirelessly to the printer, so I don't understand why I can't connect the laptop

Canon doesn’t list a driver for W11.

So that makes the printer obsolete for any new computers, when my desktop dies, I'll have to dispose of a perfectly good printer/scanner

Thanks for all your attempts to assist, but none of those options worked.  On the first one, my printer isn't showing an error, it shows that the printer is idle even though it is not. One the second one, I just downloaded the latest drivers from the Canon website a couple hours ago.  The third option doesn't work because my printer doesn't show up when I open the "print queues" list.  The fourth option doesn't navigate as shown in the instructions, so I don't know how to get to the firewall setting. When I key in "Control Panel", it opens up a different page that includes things like system and security, network and internet, hardware and sound, etc.  The fifth and last option doesn't work because my Windows version is already up to date.  Are there any other possible solutions?

It seems to be a Windows problem that they need to fix.

Wow, Windows 11 has been around a few years, you'd think they'd already have fixed it.  Thanks for the help, thankfully I still have a Windows 10 desktop computer and can work with that for now.

BTW, our main home is in Texas, but we also have a place in Laconia. I see you're about an hour away in Conway.
