I recently changed internet providers and since having the new service my MP5650 won't prompt to let me enter th epassword for the wifi. I've reset my wifi, attempted to reinstall the software on my computer, and reset factory settings on the printer.

You saved me! 6 years later and this is exactly what fixed my issue. We were having internet issues (Xfinity) and we got a new router. I couldn't get my Canon Pixma MG6821 to connect to wifi. It would find the network but then give the error message saying make sure it's the right network and passphrase but never prompted to enter passphrase again. After many hours of searching and hard resets and LAN setting resets and router power cycles. I stumbled upon your message. Our new internet has 2.4 and 5 ghz and the 2.4 was set on WPA3 personal transition. I changed it to WPA3 personal and it didn't work but when I changed it to WPA2 and tried again, the printer prompted me to enter the passcode and connected!! Thank you!!
