PIXMA G3270 : Windows 11 unable to find printer with USB by IP or otherwise

I have a USB B-A cable with good connections. Have not been able to get the installer to recognize the printer. For IP used 192.168.0.3  255.255.255.0  192.168.0.9

IP addressing has no role in a USB connection. Starting from the beginning, how are you trying to install the printer?

Plug the printer USB-B to the computer USB-A. Run the installer. Can't find the printer.

The latest Windows update broke my ability to connect to my Brothers printer. I bought the Canon to replace it rather than wait for Microsoft. I wonder if the Canon interface is broken as well.

1. Does the printer, in its connection settings menus, have a place where you select USB or Network (WiFi or Ethernet)?

2. Does Canon say to connect printer to computer BEFORE installing software, or AFTER installing the software?

The printer has options for LAN setup, but there is no reference to USB. Software installation is not possible since the printer is not found.

Can't you just disable LAN?

This may be a simple question but did you try a different USB cable, they can go bad?  My setup software also does not see my printer, but the Easy Print software does, and it was Windows that initialy installed the printer as soon as I plugged in the USB cord and powered on the printer.
