I need help because all of the sites and videos I watched have not helped me at all for some reason. I followed the official Canon guides and watched videos on how to allow my printer to scan documents to me, but it is not working at all. I went to the IP address and messed with the Network settings and Email/I-Fax settings and yet my printer still does not allow me to scan to my gmail. I keep getting an Error Code 839, but it doesn't tell me exactly for what reason - I used an App Password, retyped my password, and changed my password numerous times and I still can't get it to work. 2-Factor Authentication is turned off so I know that's not the issue... Some google users have stated that you need to turn on Less Secure Access or something like that, but it seems Google removed that for personal Google accounts. Any ideas?

Hello PrintHelp01,
Some of the newer security features applied to Gmail accounts prevent connecting to the scanner. Google has changed the setting for using less secure apps. To see what options are available, I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to check what scanning options are available.
