Mac Software for PIXMA MX922 OS Sequoia

I tried to add the PIXMA MX922 printer to my Mac Book Air and the system told me to contact the manufacturer for the latest software because Apple does not have software for this printer. Please help. I am using a USB cable instead of wireless connection. Tere are no drivers in the support page that are compatible with Sequoia 15.5. 

Please help.

About AirPrint - Apple Support

The  MX922 is listed as compatible with AirPrint. It's a limited driver but it should allow printing.

Thank you for your diligent reply. can I still use a cable or does in need to be in the wireless mode?
