MX472 won't recognize wireless scanner drivers (MacOS)

Problem: I can print wirelessly without any problem but can't scan wirelessly. I’ve seen this is a common issue, have researched heavily on Canon’s site, but everything that’s suggested simply isn’t working. I'd very much appreciate any tips and assistance as this is taxing the say the least!

Overview

  • Just started using brand new iMac running OS Monterey 12.6.1.
  • My MX472 All-In-One was previously connected to my older iMac via USB.
  • Printer driver migrated to new computer just fine – set it up wirelessly since new iMacs have no USB port.
  • Downloaded the scanner driver specified for my printer and OS which is not being recognized.

Drivers Downloaded (tried in the following order):

  1. ICA Driver Ver. 5.0.0 (Mac)
  2. IJ Scan Utility2 Ver. 3.6.6 (Mac)
  3. MX470 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver. 16.70.0.0 (Mac) – after trying both scan drivers

Further Details

  • Printed Network Configuration Page
  • Tried entering the IPv4 IP address. When that didn't work, tried the primary server IP without success.
  • Checked all network settings to verify.
