MP700 drivers for Win11

Is there a way to operate Canon MP700 from Win11?
I had a Win XP laptop running Win XP with MP700 connected to it.
I occasionally used it for scanning documents but lately the old XP laptop broke down.
Although the MP700 is obsolete now but I don't want to throw it away so rather than buying a new scanner I tried to operate the MP700 from my Win11 computer. I connected it to a USB port but the MP700 showed up with an error icon in device section . I ran the Windows troubleshooting tool and it came up with no driver found.

In the Canon download webpage there are a few drivers listed i.e.
MP700 MP Driver Ver. 5.05 (Windows 7/Vista)
Ver.500a for Windows XP
and some for Win98 etc.
Does anybody knows which of the drivers would work in Win11 if I ran it in the compatibility mode of the operating system? I greatly appreciate your advice.

Try the Windows 7/Vista driver. Many Vista/7/8/10 drivers work quite well with Win11.

XP and 98, definitely not.

Thx Normandel. I pulled across the driver for Vista mp700mpsvst505en.exe. In the properties window I set the compatibility to Vista (see pic)and ran it. It came up with error: "this program is for 32 bit ..." (see pic). I ran the troubleshooting program on the file but it did not come up with anything. I don't know if 32bit program can run on 64bit system. Is there anything that you can suggest? Thx for your advice.

Since there is no 64-bit driver it looks like you are out of luck.

A "possible" solution is to run  XP in a Virtual Machine under Win11. If you have a legit license for XP.  It's not something I can really help with but you can web-search this or get help from a computer guru.
