LBP-1000 won't install on Windows 10

Am failing to install Canon printer LBP-1000 in my Dell windows 10 pc, i tried all i could have done but its not working out, someone is telling me that this printer is old model and it only works well in windows7 and i he advised me to buy another pc with windows 7,is this true if not what can i do?

The device is 21 years old and last supported under Windows XP 32 bit.

Good, what is the solution to my problem

Need to purchase a new printer. A lot less expensive than trying to purchase a W XP PC.
