Issues running scanning software for PIXMA MX512

Hey my friend has a pixa mx512 printer I installed the drivers and it prints fine. I am able to use third party scanning software fine but when I use the software that came with the driver is loaded to scan I get this included in this picture.

Any ideas?

Hi spiderman1234!  Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MX512 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
