I live about half time in Mexico. I purchased the above printer at Office Depot here in San Miguel de Allende. I set it up and it prints perfectly but when I tried to scan using the scanning software provided with the printer set up it was not able to find or connect with the scanner. When selecting the scanner it searched for a PC instead of a Macbook Pro which I use which leads me to believe that it is a software issue. Tech support fromCanon via phone and User Manual was totally useless. I would simply return it to Office Depot but their store policy for returns is 7 days and I am currently at 20 days. ANY HELP FROM THIS FORUM WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

This should not be a difficult problem to fix. Here are the drivers and software for your printer to be used with a MAC. This setup requires a printer/usb cable. However the printer can be set for WIFI using the USB connection.

Thank you very much DerrickL. I am traveling currently so will not be able to try what you recommended for a week to 10 days. I will advise you after following your recommendations!
