I have a Canon MP 495 that was working with no problems. We moved to a new house and I have a new wireless network; I cannot get the printer reconnected to the new wireless network. How do I do this? The drivers are already installed on the computer.

Hi 1cor29,
Since you have changed locations, you will need to reinstall the drivers on your computer to connect the printer to your network. We can reinstall the printer using the latest drivers from the Canon USA website. Before reinstalling the drivers, you will want to ensure that the wireless LAN setting on the printer is enabled. To do this, press the Maintenance button (looks like a pair of pliers and a screwdriver) repeatedly until the symbol that looks like "G" appears in the LCD, then press the <COLOR> button to enable wireless LAN.
Once the wireless LAN has been enabled, please click here to go to the DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE page for the PIXMA MP495. Once on the initial download page for your model, please do the following:
1. Verify that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop-down menu is correct, and if it is not, please click the drop-down menu to select your operating system.
2. Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED FOR YOU" section and click the MP drivers file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click on the checkbox below the DOWNLOAD button, then click the red DOWNLOAD button to begin the download. The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
Once the file is downloaded, please double-click on it to reinstall the printer. Once the drivers have been reinstalled, you should be able to print.
Hope this helps!

I'm using Mac and have tried everything on this page without success. I've tried it wired, no wire, installed drivers and software, deleted drivers and software and started over. I pushed until I saw G and then pushed the color button and installed again. Nothing. I have network connection or i wouldn't be able to send this post. The printer worked wirelessly before I changed my existing router over to WPA2 and changed my network password. So incredibly frustrating! Please help.

Hi jsdoman,
When changing routers, the PIXMA MP495 should be reinstalled. To view this process, please view the following PDF:

Thank you! This worked. I had to basically uninstall the printer completely, then reinstall the drivers. Strangely I had to do it twice because the install didn't seem to work correctly the first time around. But my printer is back on the new printer and I'm printing away! Thank you!
