I'm new to printing and trying to get some of my pics into print for a gallery show. I'm having to resize the original files to print big prints and to print smaller prints to sell in the tray. Wanting the best result I studied the different algorithms used by PS, Lightroom and Topaz Gigapixel. I've used all of those to try and get the best results.
When importing into PP&L I use the pic file that is closest in size to what I intend to print, but there is usually a bit of squeezing or expanding of the image to get it the right size on the paper. My question is, what algorithm is the Canon software using to make those resizing adjustments? So far, I've not seen any strange pixels in the prints, but just wondering if I can always trust the Canon software to properly resize my images.
