How do i use a chromebook computer with a PIXMA MX410?

How do i use a chromebook laptop with a pixma mx410 printer?

I can't get the wiFi to work between the two at all.

I tried connecting my mx410 via USB directly to the printer. The printer appears to be found, saved and available. I go to print, the print job seems to complete (according to the onscreen prompts) but no printed page appears (printer doesn't even appear to run.)
