Scans from the document feeder come out ok but when I scan from the Platen Glass, they come out darker due to to much reflected light. I shouldn't be able to read the back side of the document or the page behind it. This issue has nothing to do with print settings as documents that are not scanned from the glass print flawlessly. How do I adjust the brightness level of the scan and save that setting?

You can adjust the scan settings using the MFscan utility that installs onto the computer. We would be happy to assist further with the issue.
