GX7020 - Quick Utility Toolbox- Destination Folder setting not working

The scan to networked folder function does not work.

Using the Quick Utility Toolbox version 2.6.3, the Destination Folder Settings tool does not allow me to add networked folders to the printer.  After entering all the needed information, I click the connection test.  I see a temp.txt file show up in the destination folder, but then it disappears, and I get this error message.

I know all information is correct, as it has worked on the previous Quick Utility Toolbox version 2.6.1, with Canon Maxify GX7020.

Current Hardware info:

OS: Windows 11 Enterprise

Printer: Canon Maxify GX6120 Firmware v1.00

Quick Utility Toolbox v2.6.3

Common Causes and Fixes
1. Permissions Issue
The Toolbox might not have permission to write to the selected folder.

Fix: Try running the application as an Administrator:

Right-click the Utility Toolbox shortcut → "Run as Administrator"

Then try changing the destination folder again.

2. Invalid Folder Path
Some paths may be restricted or not accepted (network paths, special characters, etc.)

Fix: Choose a local folder with a simple path like:

C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Scans

3. Folder Doesn’t Exist or Is Locked
If the folder doesn't exist or is currently in use by another app, it may not save properly.

Fix: Create a new folder manually and set it as the destination.

4. Bug in Utility Version
Sometimes updates break features.

Fix: Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Canon Quick Utility Toolbox:

Visit Canon’s support site and look for GX7020 drivers/utilities.

Uninstall and reinstall if needed.

5. Corrupted Configuration
The software might have a corrupted config file.

Fix: Reset settings or uninstall/reinstall the utility.

🛠️ Extra Step: Use Canon IJ Scan Utility (if available)
Sometimes the Canon IJ Scan Utility offers more reliable control over scan destinations:

Check if it’s installed or download from Canon’s official site.

You can set and test the folder under the Settings > Save Settings tab.

If none of that works, can you let me know:

Are you using Windows or macOS?

Are you scanning via USB or Wi-Fi?

Is the destination folder on an external or network drive?

Happy to dig deeper with that info!
