Driver needed for imagePROGRAF iPF605

STH01

I have an imagePROGRAF iPF605 large format printer.  I am setting up a new computer with Windows 11 operating system.  I went to the "Software & Drivers" support section for this printer on the Canon website, but I did not see a "basic" driver for this printer.  There were multiple drivers available, but they all seemed to be add-ons a basic/regular driver.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

😉  I called the above 800 number, in less than a minute I was in touch with a technician. They recommended downloading and installling the latest Windows 10 driver from the IPF-650 downloads page. I downloaded the iPF605 Printer Driver Ver.4.61 for Windows x64Within minutes I was printing again! Thank you!

Over one year later and no responnse to this? I have the same issue. Canon website "software & drivers" doesn't have a basic driver for this printer, all sorts of utilities and add-ons, but the basic printer driver isn't available here. Any suggestion would STILL be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for posting!

While our Forum Community members are welcome to chime in, the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF605 has been retired. That means we do not offer support for the printer or updated drivers. We recommend updating to a more modern printer and reaching out to our Canon Upgrade Program specialist who will go over the best options for upgrading your printer. They can be reached at 866-443-8002.

I hope that "updating to a more modern printer" doesn't mean replacing a perfectly good wide format printer with a new model. We are a small non-profit. The only way we could have afforded the one we have was through a grant program that no loger exists. I'd hate to have to scrap our workhorse ipf-605 for the want of a driver update! But thanks for the phone number, I'll give it a shot.

Hi, Eruga,

If you haven't reached out to an upgrade specialist. Our support team might still know a way to get your printer running again. Call us at 1-800-OK-CANON
