Downloaded PIXMA MG3620. printer WS and scanner does not work

Hello!

I have the Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector EX icon on my bottom toolbar showing my Canon MG3600 printer series. When I select the box and say OK, it sends me to instructions, but the scanner icon does not appear on my desktop. Within my printers and scanners, I have added the Canon MG36000 WS as well. I am missing something. I believe I need to update my drivers for the scanner? If this is correct, could you send me a link to the drivers needed? I am on Windows 11. If I don't need updated drivers, can you please tell me the next steps? I appreciate any help on this.

Thank you!

Thanks for joining the conversation, krhynes!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA MG3600 series.  The model number should be on the front of the unit at the lower right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

I'm sorry Danny. MG3620.

Thank you!

The WS printer driver is a limited feature Microsoft driver.
Did you download and install these software products

I am able to print to a wireless printer, and an application was downloaded to my desktop for me:

"C:\Users\krist\Downloads\win-mg3600-1_1-n_jucd (11).exe". This is the only download. I cannot figure out which download it is. I am assuming it is the first download. If I can print, does it mean the second driver was downloaded?

Thank you.

The file on your desktop is the driver software installer.

If you haven't run it double click and follow instructions to install Canon driver and associated software.

If you open the Control panel->Devices and printers you will see various icons:

You want to see an icon that says MG3600 or something like that. You will probably see one that has the WS title in it. You want to remove that (right click and remove device).
